Roca Recicla curated by Andreu Carulla

07 October to 14 January

El Celler de Can Roca, the restaurant named three times as the best in the world, launched Roca Recicla a few years ago, a pioneering initiative in the sector that aims to reduce generated waste through design.

Andreu Carulla, an industrial designer who regularly collaborates with El Celler, has investigated and developed solutions for using these materials in the form of functional objects.

Run Design, a graphic design studio, won three Laus Awards for this project’s graphics.

Il·lacions will present the different lines of work of Roca Recicla, such as the drinking glasses produced at La Masía (El Celler’s R&D centre) made from the restaurant’s used bottles, the Carulla RR2 series: stools made of expanded polystyrene taken from food transport boxes, and RR4, elegant bags made from the plastic used for sous vide cooking, as well as the latest proposal for small tables created from fragments of recycled bottles in the terrazzo style.

Run Studio expands the offering with t-shirts printed with expanded polystyrene, the Laus-winning posters, and graphics from the exhibition.
