Design Trends 22/23

19 October

Forecasting trends means imagining and projecting the future, although there is not just one future but many possible futures. In this session we will learn from future-A and Simon about the trends that will affect design in the coming years. Starting from socio-cultural changes, we will explore the concrete manifestations of trends in formal and aesthetic resources.

This activity, included in the Barcelona Design Week, shows the results of future-A’s research and its network of trend forecasters, to understand specific lines of action in design.

Pepa Casado D’Amato is the founder of future-A, a trends forecasting agency specialising in the design sector with more than 15 years of experience in trend research. Pepa has led pioneering projects in this field such as the Observatorio de Tendencias del Hábitat, or currently the trendsCLUB which, together with Cenfim, brings together more than 100 professionals from the industry and interior design to discuss the trends that will define the future of the design sector and how to adapt to them. She is a member of the Color Marketing Group and teaches trends at Esdesign in Barcelona and the CEU University in Valencia. Her clients include Siemens, Leroy Merlin, Royo Group, Cosmic and Finsa.

Paula Cabo Lalanne is founder of the creative studio calacreativestudio, product designer specialising in sustainable CMF Design.
