This prize-giving ceremony has become a big celebration of the architecture, attending every year the most established architects from Spain and Portugal mingle with new talent and students.

During the ceremony the winners in different awards will be announced. Firstly, the 64th edition of the FAD Awards for Architecture and Interior Design winning projects, followed by the 17th edition of the FAD Awards for Thought and Critique, the 9th edition of the International FAD Awards and lastly the 34th edition of the Habitàcola Awards for students.

The gala will take place in two simultaneous venues. One will be the Auditorium of the Disseny Hub Barcelona, and the other the Elisava Gardens (outside the building), where the gala can be viewed on a large screen.

The awards were constituted in 1958 by ARQUIN-FAD, FAD Interdisciplinary Association of Space Design. These awards have become the most long-lived in Europe regarding architecture and interiors, and one of the most prestigious in the Iberian Peninsula. This year’s call closed with a total of 542 works entered in the competitions of the different categories. The 27 shortlisted and 68 longlisted works in this new edition will be on display from 2 June until 28 August 2022 in «The best design of the year» exhibition at the Disseny Hub Barcelona.
